Friday Finds: Kitchen Gadgets
In the journey towards a healthier and happier life, the tools and products we use play a significant role. As my grandfather always said, “use the right tool for the right job.”
In this blog post, I want to share some of my favorite tools in the kitchen. These products help make meal prepping and cooking a little easier while on our journey of nurturing ourselves and enhancing our daily lives.

1) First and foremost, this thing is a gamechanger. Meet your new favorite kitchen appliance: The Ninja Speedi
This appliance does everything from steam, bake, roast, sear, sauté, slow cook, sous vide & more. We use it on a daily basis with everything from chicken nuggets to full meals of rice, veggies, and crispy chicken thighs: ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It’s one of my favorite purchases.
2) Rubbermaid Glass Containers are perfect for meal prepping, leftovers, etc. Since they are glass, they are dish washer safe and can be used in the freezer, microwave or oven. With the locking lid, they are perfect for even the messiest of meals.
If you don’t like your food to touch, these meal prep containers with 2 compartments are a great option as well!
3) A good vegetable chopper is a fabulous time saver in the kitchen and it’s super easy to use.
4) I prefer solid silicone kitchen utensils because you don’t have to worry about them scratching any non-stick surfaces nor them falling apart. They are dishwasher safe and don’t melt like their plastic counterparts.
5) Although I prefer silicone for most cooking, I absolutely adore this perfectly sized metal spatula while using my cast iron, metal pans, or cutting into casseroles.
6) Flexible Cutting Mats are great for cutting/chopping and dumping into the pan without worry about spilling all over. These are dishwasher safe and super easy to store.
7) There’s always that stubborn jar that doesn’t open. This jar opener is great when my hands are inflamed and I need a little grip boost.
8) This hand juicer is one of those find that I didn’t think I really needed but I’m so glad I got. It’s easy to use, comes apart, is glass and has a lid to store if needed. I love using fresh juices in my recipes and a hand juicer makes it super easy.
8) A lidded batter bowl is a must. This glass bowl is ideal for mixing, pouring and storing.
9) Tea Infuser. As an avid tea lover, I am very picky about my infusers. These little silicone tops make it easy to pull the infuser out of hot water and place on their little bases without making a mess.
10) Last but not least, let’s talk coffee. This coffee machine is used tirelessly to help perk us up in the mornings. (see what I did there?) Choose from 6 sizes, 4 different brew strengths and froth that baby up with its built in frother.
